Allergology

Allergy is an unreasonably strong reaction to a certain substance (allergen), usually mediated by IgE antibodies or T-cells. Allergies can manifest as respiratory symptoms (allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma), eye symptoms (allergic conjunctivitis, etc.), gastrointestinal symptoms, skin symptoms (contact dermatitis, acute urticaria, atopic dermatitis flares may be related to allergy). In severe cases, several organs may be affected at the same time.

Nowadays, many allergies caused by inhaled allergens can also be cured. However, in cases where cure is not possible, it is possible to significantly alleviate the symptoms of allergies.
