Laser therapy

Laser therapy is used to remove hemangiomas and telangiectasia (dilated capillaries) from the skin. MedArt 435 laser used at our skin clinic enables to treat blood vessels up to 4 mm in diameter in any body area. Usually one procedure is sufficient to treat smaller vessels; for larger vessels, a second procedure may be necessary to achieve good results.

The specific treatment for varicose veins depends on the diameter and depth of the problematic blood vessel. In case of smaller superficial varicose veins, the best result is achieved using a non-invasive method (including laser therapy) or sclerotherapy (injection of a sclerosing agent). In case of larger and deeper varicose veins, endovenous radiofrequency ablation or laser ablation or glue (a catheter is inserted into the vessel) is used or the problem-causing vessel is removed during surgery (phlebectomy). Endovenous procedures and operations are not performed in our clinic.
