A lip lift is an innovative plastic surgery procedure aimed at enhancing and reshaping the upper lip. During the procedure, the distance between the nose and the upper lip — known as the philtrum — is shortened. The bullhorn lip lift is one of the most popular lip lifting techniques worldwide.
The procedure involves making an incision shaped like bull’s horns along the base of the nose, removing a small section of skin. This allows the central part of the lip, as well as the left and right sides, to be lifted upwards toward the nose. The result is a fuller upper lip and a reduced distance between the nose and mouth. There’s no need to worry about scarring, as the incision is hidden along the lower border of the nose and is almost invisible. The final results become visible within 3 months, once swelling and bruising have subsided and the scar has fully healed. The procedure lasts up to 1 hour and is performed under local anesthesia (numbing injection).
