ANALYSIS PACKAGES

KotkaLAB offers the following blood test packages:

HEALTH OF MEN

Male up to 35 years
The package includes the following analyses:

• Haemogram with leukogram – detects various abnormalities in the body including anaemia, infections and bleeding disorders. In addition, it gives an overview of the oxygen transport capacity of the blood.
• Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides – to assess the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.
• Glucohemoglobin – an assessment of the risk of diabetes, reflecting blood glucose levels over the past 3 months.
• ALAT, GGT – assessment of risk of liver damage
• Creatinine + eGFR – allows assessment of kidney function, including the presence of renal failure.
• TSH – allows assessment of thyroid function, including under- and over-activity of the thyroid gland.
• Vitamin D (25-OH)
• SHBG, testosterone – a male hormone whose adequate levels are essential for normal sexual function, sperm production and muscle tone.

In addition to the above:

• PSA – a marker for (early) detection of prostate cancer, levels also rise in other prostate diseases.
• Uric acid – helps to assess the risk of diseases (e.g. gout) caused by high uric acid levels (hyperuricemia).

WOMEN’S HEALTH

Female up to 45 years of age
The package includes the following analyses:

• Haemogram withukogram – allows the detection of various abnormalities in the body including anaemia, infections and bleeding disorders. In addition, it gives an overview of the oxygen transport capacity of the blood.
• Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides – to assess the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.
• Glucohemoglobin – an assessment of the risk of diabetes, reflecting blood glucose levels over the past 3 months.
• ALAT, GGT – assessment of risk of liver damage
• Creatinine + eGFR – allows assessment of kidney function, including risk of kidney failure and kidney damage.
• TSH – allows assessment of thyroid function, including under- and over-activity of the thyroid gland.
• Ferritin – allows assessment of the body’s iron stores
• Vitamin D (25-OH) – provides an assessment of the body’s vitamin D levels.

Vitamin D is essential for health and general well-being. Vitamin D strengthens the body’s immune system, has anti-depressant properties, provides good sleep and protects against a number of serious diseases. In Estonia, most people suffer from vitamin D deficiency.

We will check your body’s vitamin D levels by doing a blood test.
