Laser epilation

Laser hair removal allows you to get rid of excess hair after just a few procedures. Since hair growth occurs through 3 growth phases and laser epilation only works on hair in the active growth phase, it is important to have several treatments to achieve the desired result. A recommended course of up to 10 treatments is recommended to achieve long-lasting results.

Laser hair removal is not carried out on very light, red and grey hair, as the procedure is relatively ineffective due to the lack of hair pigment.

Indications:

  • removal of unwanted body and facial hair
  • ingrown hairs
  • skin irritation after shaving
  • black spots remaining after shaving

Contraindications:

  • pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
  • the presence of acute skin disease or skin cancer
  • presence of cardiovascular disease
  • very dark or fresh tanning (including spray tanning, self-tanning creams); the procedure is allowed 4 weeks after tanning.

Avoid sun tanning and the use of self-tanning products (at least 2-3 weeks before the procedure ).

If waxing or sugaring procedures have been performed prior to laser epilation, at least 1 month must have passed since the last procedure. For laser hair removal to be most effective, the hair should be at least 1.5-2 mm long, so shaving should be avoided for 2-3 days before the procedure. Deodorant should be discontinued on the epilated area 3-4 days before the procedure. You should come to the procedure with clean skin, i.e. without make-up, lotion, perfume, etc.

After the procedure , avoid sunbathing (for at least 2 weeks after the procedure), use a high protection sunscreen (SPF 50) during sunny periods. Do not apply any products containing spirits (including deodorants) to the laser-treated skin for 1 week, and if necessary use skin products containing dexpanthenol (Panthenol, Bepanthen). It is also recommended to avoid saunas, baths and swimming pools for 1 week after the procedure.

For laser epilation we use MedArt 435 diode laser.

The procedure will be carried out by nurses Ave Kikas, Marina Sats and Kristina Silla.
