Cryotherapy (treatment of warts/corns)

Cryotherapy (Cold Treatment)

Cryotherapy is a treatment method where liquid nitrogen is used to freeze warts and corns. However, a dermatologist or dermatology nurse may also prescribe cryotherapy for other skin issues (a prior consultation is required).

Liquid nitrogen freezes the water in skin cells, and as the frozen area thaws, the bonds between the cells break, leading to blister formation. As the blister heals, the lesion is removed along with it.

The procedure costs approximately 45 to 75 euros.

Foot care is provided by nurses Sigrid Kaselaid and Kristina Silla.
