Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu and completed a residency in Otolaryngology.
Specialized in the surgical treatment of head and neck oncological diseases. As part of doctoral studies, engaged in the research of biomarkers for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Furthered education through participation in conferences and practical training across Europe, with a focus on plastic and reconstructive surgery, especially in France and Italy. Presented lectures at various conferences and training sessions. Dr. Mikomägi works at the North Estonia Regional Hospital, Tallinn Children’s Hospital, and Tartu University Hospital, as well as in several private clinics, performing up to 700 surgeries per year.
Dr. Mikomägi is a member of the Estonian Society of Otolaryngologists, Estonian Society of Head and Neck Surgeons, and the Estonian Society of Oncologists.
