Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu and completed residency in oncology. Furthered education with a one-month training in melanoma treatment and research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, one month of specialized training in skin cancer, melanoma, and pigment disorders at the National Skin Center and National Cancer Center in Singapore.
Additionally, pursued advanced training in oncodermatopathology and dermatoscopy at Graz University in Austria for two months. Spent 13 months collaborating with the European School of Oncology and Ulm University in the field of breast cancer. Participated in oncology conferences worldwide and delivered presentations on oncology topics to medical professionals, educators, and students.
Dr. Vettus has organized numerous charity events, supporting the Estonian Association of Parents of Children with Cancer. She has also advocated for the ban on tanning beds for minors.
Dr. Vettus is a member of the Estonian Society of Oncologists, European Society of Oncology, European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Dermoscopy Society, and the Estonian Medical Association.
