Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal enables removing unwanted hair with already a couple of procedures. As hair grow in 3 growth phases and laser hair removal is performed only on hair which is in an active growth phase, it is recommended to have several procedures for the desired result. For long-term results, it is recommended to take a treatment course which contains up to 10 procedures.
Laser hair removal is not performed on very light, red and grey hair because the procedure is not very effective due to lack of pigment in such hair.
- removal of unwanted hair on face and body;
- ingrown hair;
- skin irritation after shaving;
- dark spots after shaving.
- pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- acute skin disease or skin cancer;
- cardiovascular disease;
- very dark or recent tanning (including spray tanning, self-tanning creams); the procedure is allowed 4 weeks after tanning.
Before the procedure, tanning and using self-tanning products must be avoided (at least 2–3 weeks before the procedure). If waxing or sugaring procedures have been performed before laser hair removal, at least a month must have passed from the last procedure. For more effective laser hair removal, the length of hair should be at least 1.5–2 mm, which means that you have to stop shaving for 2–3 days before the procedure. For 3–4 days before the procedure, deodorant must not be used on the area to be treated. You should come to the procedure with clean skin, i.e. wearing no make-up, cream, perfume etc.
After the procedure, you should avoid sunbathing (at least 2 weeks after the procedure), and if the weather is sunny and the sun is intensive, high protection factor sunscreen (SPF 50) should be used. For one week, no spirit containing products (including deodorants) should be used on the skin treated with a laser and, if necessary, dexpanthenol containing skin products (Panthenol, Bepanthen) should be used. For one week after the procedure, it is recommended not to go to a sauna, take a bath or go to a pool.
We use a MedArt 435 diode laser for laser hair removal.
The procedure is performed by nurse Marina Sats.
