However, a dermatologist or dermatology nurse may also prescribe cryotherapy for other skin issues (a prior consultation is required).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liquid nitrogen freezes the water in skin cells, and as the frozen area thaws, the bonds between the cells break, leading to blister formation.
