Dr. Elen Vettus
Dr. Vettus has graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tartu. She has educated herself further in the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in the field of melanoma treatment and research. She has participated in refresher training of skin cancer, melanoma and pigment disorders at Singapore National Skin Centre and National Cancer Centre Singapore. She has educated herself further in the field of oncodermatopathology and dermoscopy at the University of Graz in Austria and cooperated with the European School of Oncology and Ulm University in the field of breast cancer. She has attended oncology conferences all over the world. She has delivered presentations on oncology to physicians, teachers and students.
Dr. Vettus has been the main organiser of several charity events to support the Estonian Union of Parents of Children Suffering from Cancer. Dr. Vettus is also one of the initiators of the proposal to forbid the use of tanning devices by minors.
She is a member of the Estonian Society of Oncologists, the European Oncologists Society, the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Dermoscopy Society and the Estonian Medical Association.
