Check your skin at least once a month. Look for pigment spots that differ from others (so-called ugly ducklings). As a rule, all moles are similar, which is why attention should be paid to moles that differ from others by colour, size or shape, or when a pigment spot is growing very quickly. Check also your soles and palms!
Once a year, you should ask a specialist (dermoscopist) to examine your nevi.
Protect your skin and eyes from ultraviolet rays with sun protective clothing, wide-brimmed headgear, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
